The McLouth City Council consist of a Mayor and 5 Council Members

McLouth is a City of the Third Class - Class is rated by population

Regular Council Meetings are held the First and Third Tuesday of each Month. The First Tuesday has to follow a First Monday of the Month. Example: If Tuesday is May 1st, the first council meeting of the Month would actually be May 8th, then the second meeting of the Month would be 2 weeks later. Meetings start at 7 p.m.

Council Meetings are held at the McLouth/Jeff. Co. Dist.#9 Fire Station, located at 104 W. Lucy St. in the City of McLouth, Ks.
